Today I went ahead and updated PHP and APC to the latest versions. Unfortunately, WordPress and some of its plugins don’t seem to agree too well with either of them.
I rolled back to PHP 5.2.0 and APC 3.0.12p2 for the time being and will keep an eye on the software to see if any changes are made soon.
I did managed to get Suhosin installed though.

Just a heads up to anyone else who runs WordPress, there’s a new release 2.1.2 available.
Some versions of 2.1.1 may have been exploited by a cracker to allow remote execution of code. Upgrading is advised as a preventative measure.

After a long lull of no new style for the website, I decided to change it today.
I used to use K2 some while back and had a few issues with it, but I decided to give it another try.

There a lot of new features integrated into K2 now and I’m quite impressed so far. There are a few things I still need to tweak, but I’m off out to work in a bit, so I’ll fiddle with those later!
So yeah, enjoy the new old look!

WordPress 2.1 is finally out.
I’ll be upgrading in the next couple of days!

WordPress has a very useful feature - Edit post timestamp.

This allows you to post date a post. This then tells WordPress to not show the post until that time has passed. Very useful if you have a day where you have loads of things to write, but want to space the postings out.

lotsa emails this way!
