Twenty SomethingTwenty Something by Iain Hollingshead is definetely worth checking out. Maybe not to everyones liking, but still worth a read.

It’s funny, rude, entertaining and rather true to a twenty something living and working London. It’s just under a few hundred pages long and I’ve got about forty left. Not bad considering I received it on Tuesday.

I’ve decided I need to read more books and I’ve got a small stack, which I purchased from Amazon, to get through on my desk.
I even bought Plato - The Last Days of Socrates because I thought it might be interesting to read. I’ll write a review on that once I start reading it!

300 The MovieA few of us went to see 300 last night and we were all treated to an excellent experience.
The movie spent a year in post production, which is probably due to the way every scene has “crushed” visual colours and most of the film was shot against blue/green screens.

The film was based on one of Frank Millers graphic novels, much like Sin City, although completely different plot lines and shooting styles.
300 tells of The Battle Thermoplyae where King Leonidas lead 300 of his best Spartan soldiers in a fight to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army.

There’s an incredible amount of violence in the film, but it’s somewhat subdued by the tasteful cinematography. It’s got a fantastic look to the film and is definitely worth watching if you’re not too spooked out with ancient tales.
Photocritic also have a rough guide on how to achieve the 300 look with any of your digital photos. Oh. The film makers preferred using Macs too… ;)

I just posted up a review of the Canon 5D on Digital Photography School.
I thought it would be worthwhile to others and I stand a chance of winning some photography books.

It took me a little longer than I had anticipated and spans 1,415 words, which I’m quite impressed with! I used to struggle writing essays for college that were 3,000 words long and this just made me chuckle when I saw the word count!

lotsa emails this way!
