In the news today is some indication as to what MP’s are permitted to spend expenses on. To give you an idea, here’s a couple of things: Up to £10,000 for a new kitchen, £2,000 for furniture and £750 for a TV/Stereo for their second home.

That really riles me. How can an MP spend our tax money on items that we would normally pay for ourselves, out of our hard earned cash? Not to mention these are expenses for a second home.

If I, or you, were to try and claim back £10,000 from the taxman for a new kitchen, we’d probably find ourselves up in court on fraud charges. Why should an MP have any more rights to us?

George Galloway vs. Sky News
George Galloway doesn’t really do himself any favours, but he does make a few valid points and come backs against the interviewer. Worth a watch.

Today, California and Britain announced that they would work together on reducing greenhouse gases and promoting low carbon technologies. Link

Great! Now all you’ve got to do is persuade the rest of America to follow California’s lead and maybe the results will be noticeable.

lotsa emails this way!
