Remember when the PRS were after Kwik Fit for playing a radio too loud? Well this is along similar lines.

According to a report, the PRS are at it again. The staff at a charity also received a visit from a PRS officer who declared that because a staff radio in the kitchen could be overheard by the public in their tea-room, they would need a license.

However, having purchased a license, this wasn’t the end of the matter. The PRS then started asking more questions, and when they discovered that kids sing in a carol concert there at Christmas, they declared that the premises were under licensed. Yes, of course - the PRS wanted yet more money.

Radio waves are freely available to pick up everywhere. The radio stations pay their fees to the PRS for playing the songs publicly. That to me implies the PRS have no right to force people to buy a license. Money grabbing bastards.

I’d like to publicly thank Orange for getting confused as to whether they have or haven’t removed me from their mailing list.

Cryptic message from Orange

I think if I receive anymore, I’ll just set a filter to permanently block Orange from reaching me. It’s much easier!

As much as I like my iPhone, there are some things about it that annoy me. Here’s what I can come up with so far.

  1. I can’t send a group text message. Annoying when trying to arrange things with multiple people at once.
  2. I have to email pictures, I can’t MMS them to anyone. Slightly irritating as a lot of people don’t have email on their phones.
  3. After receiving a call, I’m transferred to the Phone menu with a list of my contacts. Why that’s Apple?! I was writing a text message, why can’t you put me back on that screen?
  4. When in the Mail screen viewing an email, it’s not possible to turn the iPhone and get a landscape view of the email (good for long sentences, etc)
  5. Why when docked does the phone still vibrate?
  6. It’s not particularly easy to sync photos OFF the phone.
  7. I love the dashboard, but not everyone is a stock market wizard. Let me move things around and take icons out.
  8. When EDGE data is not present the internet/email is slow. Very very slow.

Rock climber James Bossom, dressed in a Santa suit, was suppose to repeal off the side of a local mall during a holiday tree lighting event.

But about half way down the 80-foot wall, old Saint Nick’s beard got stuck in the rigging leaving the jolly old man dangling.

That will teach you for unveiling christmas lights before December has even arrived.

In such colourful company Gordon Brown looked dour in a dark suit and mauve tie. He made up for it later when he donned his new £3,000 tax-payer-funded white tie and tails for the banquet at Buckingham Palace

That’s rather infuriating. Using my tax money to buy some clothing for a dinner. Surely he should have to foot his own bills for clothing? After all it doesn’t benefit the country for him to dress up.

lotsa emails this way!
