I’m not quite sure why TFL have three options to choose from when I enter London Bridge in their travel planner.

TFL choices

By choosing either of those three I get exactly the same results. Surely usability would be better with one choice, not to mention less confusion.

Thanks to Adrian for showing me this. It’s quite funny.

OpenDNS LogoI’ve had my eyes on OpenDNS for a while now and I’ve seen them grow from an initial concept to what they are now.
For those that don’t know, OpenDNS provide a top quality service for the domain name system. DNS is used in most things you do online such as looking up websites, sending email, uploading your web pages, using MSN and so on. This is automatically provided to you by your ISP, but in most cases it isn’t that well looked after and can often break (I’ve experienced that a few times on NTL!)

Use OpenDNSBy changing two IP addresses in your router or computer, you can take advantage of the OpenDNS system. You don’t even have to signup to use it!

What you get for changing those two IP addresses is a reliable and fast DNS service which has had no downtime since it came to life in July 2006 along with options to block phishing websites and adult websites. You also have the option to log statistics and create shortcuts.

There’s plenty of things to take advantage over, but the main thing is more speed. Definitely worth it for that alone!

I’m a dance music fan, I’ll admit it. I like plenty of other music and have a fairly well balanced genre list in iTunes at the moment.
I got an email the other day about a new release coming out this Monday, so I had a flick through the iTunes store to see if I could pick the double CD up at a reasonable price. I was a little surprised when I saw the following.

iTunes Tiesto release

In any music store the new Tiesto album is a double CD.
Even Amazon stock it as a double CD for £8.98.

Amazon Tiesto release

So how can Apple justify charging £7.99 for just one CD, when you can pick up the double album from anywhere else for £8.98 or possibly less?
Apple have purposely listed two separate CD’s and are charging £7.99 for each CD. I know where I’m going to be getting my copy of the album from, and it certainly won’t be iTunes.

Apparently I run windows media player NaN. Tiscali TV doesn’t work on media player NaN, so I have to downgrade to a PC.

Tiscali TV

lotsa emails this way!
