We arrived in Paris this morning. I woke up outside the hotel on the tour bus, good timing. I do have a slight problem though; I don’t speak any French and I’m sure they’ll do their best to not speak English. Maybe I’ll try the speak slower and louder approach that every bad English tourist does!

This weekend I’ve been working in Dublin. It was a fairly sociable trip and we managed to get out a few times to experience Dublin.
We all found Dublin to be on par with London prices and sometimes a little more expensive than London. Our first night meal came to €40 each which we thought was a little steep!

Working wise, Dublin was great. As far as hotels go, The Shelbourne staff were helpful and friendly, which you normally never find in London. It was nice to be able to chat to the staff and have a joke or general conversation. In town most hotel staff ignore you or don’t stay around long enough to speak with.

The final day was tough work. We arrived at the hotel at 11am and three of us were there until the load out started at 2am the following morning. We then completed the load out, went back to our hotel, had a shower and some breakfast, then got a taxi to the airport and came home. I survived for 33 hours without sleep. I soon went to sleep around 6.30pm when I sat on my bed at home though!

lotsa emails this way!
