So we’re on our last evening in Vancouver, getting ready to greyhound ourselves into Seattle tomorrow morning. It could be an interesting journey as the lady we spoke to when getting our tickets said I-5 is currently undergoing construction and could add an extra two hours to our journey. Six hours on a coach, with Ant is going to be interesting!

We had a good walk around Vancouver today, we reckon we’ve covered about six or so miles. Don’t walk the wrong way into Vancouver, you find all the building sites and run down areas. Our initial thoughts were that Vancouver was a pretty rubbish place to go, but luckily we managed to get into the right part of town for lunch and things improved dramatically from there.

We stopped by a place called The Old Spaghetti Factory for lunch and we had a great meal. Three courses, including complimentary bread loaves before the starter and complimentary ice cream and coffee afterwards. All for a bargain price of £25 for both of us. Top notch service and a very friendly waitress who seemed quite interested in our little journey topped the lunch off.

Once Ant realised that we were actually going the right way, we had a mammoth walk around the shoreline all the way into Stanley Park. That’s where our journey ended, as we stopped for some water and an ice cream (not a Cornetto unfortunately, they don’t have them out here). We then walked back to our hotel taking in some shops where Ant was determined to buy a gay t-shirt.

We’ve got some entertaining photos that will form the content of later posts. But I shan’t spoil anyone too much by writing two posts in one day. That’s it for now.

How many sports games can you go to in England for under £10? Not many.
Ant, Adrian and myself just watched Toronto Blue Jays vs New York Yankees for $11. Thats about £5! Toronto Blue Jays got beaten, but it was a great game. We had a great evening!

Ant reckons we got propositioned for sex. I reckon he wanted drugs and Ant’s just got something on the mind. I’m a little worried!

Ant and I started our month long tour round the US by flying into New York. We stayed at a hotel I’ve stayed in before and were pleased with the accommodation. We only stayed for two nights as we’ve both seen New York before and only had a few things to do.

As I write this we’re currently on a LimoLiner coach going to Boston. It’s a pretty good way of travelling. Reclining leather seats, lots of leg rooom, free wifi, movies, sky TV, radio, free food and drink. We’re not complaining for £38 per person! Getting a train would have cost us about £50 each and we wouldn’t have had any of the amenities above.

Next on our stop after Boston is Toronto where we’ll be meeting Adrian and hopefully partaking in plenty of tourist attractions. That’s it for now, I’ll check back later with something more interesting.

I lied in my previous post, we ended up in the Peak District. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t particularly nice and we didn’t get to do much walking or climbing. Here’s a few images of what we did get up to however.

Fire!

The company was good as was the beer and location. My cloths smell a bit too much of smoke, but they can be washed!
