I must have done something right. I’m currently getting 300 - 500 unique hits per day to my website by people searching for Spider Pig. It’s not just Google either. Add to that Yahoo, AOL, MSN, BBC, etc etc.

I wonder if this popularity is anything to do with the advertising request I got via email today.
Our company has an ad program that buys ad space on your website with no cost to you.
mmm. No cost? They obviously don’t think of advertising as an obtrusive cost to the viewer. Sure it pays and helps in a lot of areas, but it doesn’t half look ugly. This place will always be ad free.
The wish for a “Holy Shit Map” on planes.
I wish this plane had a screen in the seatback in front of me showing one of those neat real time maps. But instead of showing progress at the state or nation-state level, it would show progress at street or near-street level, so that instead of having that “Wow, this flight is taking forever” feeling, you could have that “Holy shit we’re going incredibly fast” feeling. It almost goes without saying that this Holy Shit Map(tm) should be toggle-able between map, satellite and hybrid modes.
JetBlue Airways Announces Partnership With Google Maps to Provide Real-Time Flight Tracking Feature
Now this is incredibly clever. Google today launched the new Street View feature in Google Maps at Where 2.0 conference.
Unfortunately for those of us not in the US, we’re not supposed to be able to access this feature. However, there is a work around as mentioned here. You can see in the screen shot below the mini market that I stayed opposite last time I stayed in New York.

You can have a scout round New York by going to Google through this link.
There’s a new Mac orientated blog from the insiders at Google.
There’s also an easy way to find mac downloads from Google too, http://www.google.com/mac.html
