Seven years since it was released, The Fellowship of the Ring is on British TV. I’m watching this first part of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and I’d forgotten how good it is. It’s not quite the same on a small screen with adverts every half and hour, but it’s still a fantastic film.

I went to see Cloverfield last night and actually quite enjoyed the film. The film itself is very short when compared to traditional films, running at roughly an hour and thirty minutes including the adverts shown before!

The film is not too dissimilar from the shooting style of the Blair Witch Project, but much better. One audience member on the other side of the cinema got a little nauseous and threw up but asides from that I think it was well received.
One thing I did notice was when the film when deadly silent the entire cinema was also silent. Not even a rustle of sweet wrappers or popcorn could be heard. Very unusual!

Definitely a film to see at the cinema as you get much better sound and lets face it, sound makes a huge difference on a film like this.

I must have done something right. I’m currently getting 300 - 500 unique hits per day to my website by people searching for Spider Pig. It’s not just Google either. Add to that Yahoo, AOL, MSN, BBC, etc etc.

I wonder if this popularity is anything to do with the advertising request I got via email today.

mmm. No cost? They obviously don’t think of advertising as an obtrusive cost to the viewer. Sure it pays and helps in a lot of areas, but it doesn’t half look ugly. This place will always be ad free.

Germany has banned the makers of Tom Cruise’s new movie from filming at military sites in the country because the actor is a Scientologist. BBC

Scientology, as I’ve previously written on here before, is scary stuff. Good for Germany. It’s about time more countries started taking similar steps against this cult.
