We’re going out for a curry this evening and as usual, I get the task of booking the table. This time round we thought we’d try somewhere new as the usual place we go to let us down last time.
Upon asking for a reservation at 8pm I was told the following:

Owner: You’ll need to bring your own beer or wine sir.
Me: Why’s that then!?
Owner: When I went on holiday I forgot to renew the alcohol license.

If they forget to renew an important part of their business structure, what else are they likely to forget about whilst preparing your meal.
I can see it now…

Server: Here’s your meal sir.
Me: This is just rice
Server: Sorry sir, we forgot to cook your lamb madras

We’re now booked into a different restaurant with the intention of being able to have a beer or two with our meal!
