I got an email from WarehouseExpress earlier this week detailing some new cashback offers from Canon. It reminded me of the time I purchased my Canon 5D, they were offering £200 back for any 5D purchased within a certain time span.

Update
It looks like I did receive the £200 cashback from Canon, I just failed to notice it hit my bank account! Better head over to WarehouseExpress and see what you can pick up!

Canon EOS 1D Mark III

Oooooh! Canon have announced their new Canon EOS 1D Mark III camera.
It’s a direct replacement for the Canon EOS 1D Mark II N camera and it looks pretty good!

It’s a 10.1 megapixel camera with 10fps, allowing you to shoot 110 JPEGs or 30 RAWs in quick succession and is powered by dual DIGIC III processors.
I remember seeing the DIGIC III processors when I worked on the Canon IXUS ten year celebration. They were using one of these on their higher end IXUS cameras, so two in a pro digital SLR is funky!

There’s loads more features to oogle over, but if you want a full run down, head over to the Canon page detailing the camera.

Weather sealed magnesium alloy body
3.0″ LCD screen display
Integrated cleaning system
ISO expandable up to 6400!
19 Auto Focus points with 26 assist points

Warehouse Express have this camera up for sale at £3,049.

I just posted up a review of the Canon 5D on Digital Photography School.
I thought it would be worthwhile to others and I stand a chance of winning some photography books.

It took me a little longer than I had anticipated and spans 1,415 words, which I’m quite impressed with! I used to struggle writing essays for college that were 3,000 words long and this just made me chuckle when I saw the word count!

I bought another new lense the other day and have been snapping away. This will probably be my last purchase for a little while as it wasn’t cheap!

You can see a full size version of the photo here.
I’m impressed with the lense so far, although it’s weighty at 1.4kgs! I’m sure more photos will be posted soon.

Blurry HollyI took this image the other morning when Adrian and I went out for a sunrise photography session.

I wasn’t too impressed with many of my photos of the sun rising and I think this was one of the better photos I took. It’s slightly out of focus, not on purpose, but it seems to work. I’m still undecided as to what I think about this. Sometimes I look at it and like it, other times I don’t like it.

lotsa emails this way!
