The fishermen linked their boats with steel wires, claiming they had an underwater cable in place which would destroy the keels of any craft trying to escape.

I’d say about 80% of Britain dislike the French by now.

I’d imagine dropping a boat tip first into the water isn’t the best way to launch a boat.
