When it comes to writing on this blog, I used to use the default WordPress web interface, which was great. I then stumbled upon MarsEdit, which is now called MarsEdit 2.
I’ve been using it religiously for just under a month now and I’m finding more and more to like about it.
Up until today I didn’t know how I could edit a posts date so that I could write posts which would then appear a day or two later. This meant I would be going back and forth between MarsEdit and the cumbersome WordPress write screen.
A simple but odd shortcut, Apple + cmd + L, pops up the edit timestamp option you see to the right. I now have no reason to use the WordPress write screen unless I’m away from home.
I also found out another useful option “Save Default Window Size“, which enables you to drag out the required size of the write post screen and get the application to remember that information.
