Since the 2.1 update for the iPhone, mines been doing some strange things.
- The most annoying thing is the 3G reception/drop out problem. You start a phone call, it rings, the person picks up, you say your first words, then the call drops out and you have to call them back once the iPhone has finished spazzing out over the reception.
- I have an odd battery problem. Occasionally the battery meter doesn’t update itself. So after two days use it still says I have a full battery. That’s a blatant lie!
The iPhone still needs a lot of improvement, but it’s fairly functional despite its issues.
Tell me about it. I was having some slight receptions issues with 2.0, which were supposed to have been resolved in 2.1. Since upgrading, I’ve had ‘no service’ in many areas I had a signal before. They really need to get this sorted, after all it is a phone, and the phone features are currently the weakest elements.
My mother has had an iPhone for quite a long time and she really dislikes it. Her reception is terrible. It drops the calls a lot. Sometimes it says it has no sim card. And this is her second iPhone, because her first one… I guess it just froze. She could see that someone was calling, but she couldn’t answer it. That was actually funny…
