I have a fairly large screen for my computer, not that I’m boasting. This is what I don’t like about Facebook - Applications.

The person whose profile that is shall remain nameless, I’m just glad I can minimize each application and they stay like that across every profile.
Some applications aren’t too bad, just the auto-invite be a zombie/vampire/werewolf/slayer crap, that the most annoying element for me
Yeah. I wish there was a way for me to automatically tell every application I don’t want to add it. I’ll add something if I want to myself, not based on the thousand of prompts I get telling me about it!
indeed it would be a better way to manage it via your own profile.
Sound like things are about to get more interesting (worse) with facebook ads being launched today :(
Yea, sure i want to ad a company to my friends list…
or maybe a film or a band
oh wait, isn’t that myspace?
Bravo for Facebooks efforts, but reintroducing all the elements that people hated on one application isn’t a smart move to be honest.
Agreed. That’s one reason I don’t use myspace anyone.
And that is why Facebook is tres lame and tres juvenile.
Look, I like MySpace because it is what it is. It’s cheesy and stupid and silly. The idea of it goes well with the flashy layouts and the bad music. It’s what is expected.
Facebook is just something that was a more generic version and so they’re trying to make it more interesting with these ridiculous applications.
I think I just ignored an invitation to be a pirate.
I mean, c’mon here people.
Yeap that’s true Jenn, MySpace has that cheesy element ( that they are trying to get away from judging by the recent changes to the ‘homepage’ theme), but everyone knows it and it’s not tried to be much more.
Facebook is attempting to be the more mature relation to MySpace, but in the end fails miserably. Allowing the plugins isn’t a bad idea just the methods they use to get more people and their general appearance.
