On behalf of a friend who shall remain anonymous, I’d like to thank the NHS for providing such a superior service. For ten months now you’ve had this operation planned. In fact it was due to take place next Wednesday afternoon.
This morning, said friend received a letter of cancellation, just four days away from when you were due to cut him up. A reason for the cancellation would be nice. Being a teacher means precise planning of things like this as they can’t really take leave during school time. Easter would have been the ideal time for recovery.
Thank you NHS for keeping people like this on their toes. It’s nice to know our NI contributions and taxes pay for a cat and mouse game.
Jesus. When I think of the NHS, I think, oh, how nice it would be to have free healthcare. But then I think of the waiting and the quality and it doesn’t seem so nice.
What a story. 10 months seems like a really crazily long wait. I hope it’s not a really serious matter… does this mean your friend would have to wait an additional 10 months or can he get a shorter wait?
He’s been given a new date two weeks on from the original one, but he has the issue of being a teacher and not really being able to take time off during school time.
Paying for health care certainly has its benefits, although it’s obviously a lot more expensive.
