I found out yesterday evening that someone who I did lighting with when I was at secondary school got killed on Wednesday morning in a car crash.
Here’s to Stephen Parascandolo. He was an intelligent, polite, self-professed anorak whose love for the tramlink system was far greater than anything!
We’ll be raising a glass the next time the old school lot meet.
Edit
If anyone who knew Stephen wants his funeral arrangement details, please let me know.
Whoever you are, David, may I add my sense of shock, disbelief and absolute devastation at receiving the news of the death of Stephen Parascandolo. I knew Stephen firstly from his Tramlink activities, then I found that one of my friends (Ian Belsey) knew Stephen and at least one of his brothers from giving singing lessons at your school. Stage lighting touches a chord as well and to think that Stephen totally involved himself in everything he did means that his loss is spread far and wide. I am much older than Stephen but with that comes the experience of recognising somebody with special talent. I will be attending the funeral mass and will certainly raise a glass in his memory. Maybe, I will come across you amongst those many who I feel will be attending. Please remember him. Graham
